Why Choose Plain Boxes?

Plenty of boxes never need print. Trade deliveries, warehouse moves, spare parts, internal transfers and storage all work perfectly well in plain brown board. Leaving print off saves the set-up cost and skips the proof stage, so plain boxes are both the cheapest and the quickest box we make.

Which Styles Can Be Plain?

All of them. Most plain boxes are regular slotted cartons, but plain lidded boxes are popular for storage and plain mailers for simple online orders where branding comes from a sticker or tape.

Do Plain Boxes Look Unprofessional?

Not at all. Clean, well-fitting plain kraft boxes look tidy and purposeful, and many shops prefer the understated look. If you want a little branding without printed boxes, a printed tape or a label on one panel does the job for very little cost. When you are ready for print, the same size can move to printed cardboard boxes with your logo without changing anything else.

How Do You Order Plain Boxes?

Because there is no artwork, a plain order needs only a handful of details.

1. Pass on the internal length, width and height in millimetres.
2. Tell us the quantity, or two quantities to compare.
3. Say what goes in the box, so we can confirm the board.
4. Approve the quote by email.
5. Boxes are made and delivered flat.

Which Board Should Plain Boxes Use?

Pick the board for the load, not for looks. Light, soft goods are fine in B flute; bulkier goods benefit from C flute; heavy or stacked goods belong in double wall.

What Do Plain Boxes Cost?

Plain boxes start from £0.20 a box. With no print set-up, the price is driven almost entirely by the size, the board and the quantity, which also makes it easy to compare two sizes or two grades on the same quote.

Can You Add Print Later?

Yes. Many businesses start plain and add a logo once sales settle. We keep your sizes on file, so moving to a printed version means sending artwork and approving a proof, nothing more. You can also mix the two: printed boxes for customer orders and plain ones for trade.

Storing Plain Boxes

Boxes arrive flat and banded. Keep them off the floor and away from damp, and they stay square and ready to use. Store each size in its own labelled stack near the packing bench so the right box is always to hand.
