Rigid or Folding?
Rigid gift boxes are made from thick board wrapped in printed paper and arrive made up. Folding gift boxes are made from paperboard or E flute and arrive flat. Folding boxes cost less to buy, store and deliver; rigid boxes feel heavier and more luxurious. Tell us the feel you want and the budget, and we will suggest the best fit.
Holding Each Item in Place
A gift set looks best when every item sits in its own space. A card or corrugated insert, cut to the shapes of your products, keeps everything in place and makes the box feel considered. Inserts can be plain or printed to match.

Printing Gift Boxes
Most gift boxes carry a simple logo on the lid, perhaps in one colour, with a message or pattern inside. Full colour works well on white board for brands with bold artwork. Inside print is a small cost with a big effect, because it is the first thing seen when the lid lifts.
Can Gift Boxes Be Posted?
A mailer style gift box is designed to post on its own. Lid and base or magnetic boxes should travel inside a plain outer carton, which keeps the gift box pristine. For online gift orders, a branded mailer box is often the simplest answer.

What Do Gift Boxes Cost?
Folding gift boxes are the most economical, from £0.20 a box at simple sizes. Magnetic and rigid styles cost more because of the materials and hand finishing. Inserts and inside print are quoted as separate lines so you can see the effect of each.
Sizing Your Gift Boxes
Gift boxes are quoted on the inside size in millimetres. For sets, measure the arrangement rather than each item, and include the height of any insert.
Shallow, wide gift boxes look generous. Deep boxes need more fill, so keep the height close to the tallest item.
Board for Gift Boxes
Flat-packed gift boxes come in white or brown paperboard, with E flute as the option for ones that travel by post. Rigid magnetic boxes use thick greyboard wrapped in paper.
