What Is a Display Box?
A display box is packaging that becomes a stand. It arrives with the retailer as a box of products, then opens or folds into a display on a counter or shelf. Done well, it saves the shop time and gives your product its own space at the till.

Designing a Display That Sells
A display has a second or two to catch a shopper. A tall, clear header with the brand and one simple message works better than a crowded panel. The front lip should be low enough to show the products and high enough to stop them sliding out.

Board and Print for Displays
Most displays are E flute with a white outer liner, which prints full colour sharply and folds neatly. B flute suits heavier products or larger trays. Full colour print is the norm, because the display is part of the marketing.
How Do You Size a Display Box?
If you are unsure, send one product and tell us the quantity per display. We work out the layout and send a proof.
- Decide how many products the display holds and in how many rows.
- Measure one product and the space between them.
- Work out the tray footprint and front lip height.
- Decide the header height above the tray.
- Send the sizes and artwork, and we will prepare a dieline.
Getting Displays to Shops
Displays usually travel pre-filled inside an outer carton, or flat for the retailer to make up. Display mailers combine the two: they post like a mailer and open into a stand. For outers, our shipping boxes made to size fit several displays snugly.
What Do Display Boxes Cost?
Display boxes are priced on size, print coverage and quantity. Full colour on all visible panels is standard. A display that holds more product often costs only a little more than a smaller one.
Sizing Your Display Boxes
Display box sizes are given as the tray footprint and overall height in millimetres. The header adds to the height; tell us how tall you would like it.
Check the counter or shelf space your retailers have. A display that is too deep for a typical counter is less likely to be put out.

Displays are usually E flute with a white liner for bright print, or B flute for heavier products.
